Intervention – Frisbee with Nature ‘Create deeper connection’

After the clay workshop I decided to organise an outdoor frisbee event to inspire East Asian younger generation by building a deeper connection with our nature space. In order to raise their awareness and guiding them to love our planet. Therefore, they can apply actions.
From my research, I realised the East Asian younger generation lack of outdoor activities due to busy study schedule and insufficient outdoor space.
From research I found out that the percentage of EAGs who do outdoor activities lowered after the pandemic (Oleniacz, 2021). This may be one of the reasons for the lack of awareness as they are not as in touch with nature. Therefore, this secondary research led me to organise my final intervention which is an outdoor frisbee activity. To test out if creating deeper connections between nature the younger generations’ would have increased their awareness on sustainability. From a survey done by China Dialogue, it showed that 60% of young Chinese people said they were “fairly familiar with climate change”, these respondents’ understanding of the issues may not be particularly accurate (Mengnan, 2021).
